Apple thought they had it with their 330 ppi Retina Display but nope, LG has gone farther than that. LG announced their full HD LCD smartphone with 5 inch display and 440 ppi pixel density. They used the AH IPS technology which is the Advanced High Performance In Plane Switching on this device. The AH IPS allows wider viewing angles, better brightness and provides similar feel to that of HDTVs and HD computer monitors. With 16:9 aspect ratio and its 2.2 times denser pixels than previous 4.5 inch HD panels, this 440 ppi phone's screen resolution is far superior to its competitors. Not only has the quality improved, but LG made it energy efficient - this screen uses less power than other displays. LG will be releasing this panel in the second half of the year.
