NJ Mom arrested for taking her child to tanning

Last week in New Jersey, Patricia Krentcil, 44, was arrested for putting her 5 year old daughter in a tanning booth and was charged with felony child endangerment. It's prohibited by law to let anyone under the age of 14 to use the tanning booth. She was very casual when she was explaining herself. "It's like taking your daughter to go food shopping, there's tons of moms that bring their children in."

It was reported by the school officials that her daughter showed up to school with what appeared to be a sunburn and told everybody that she "went tanning with mommy". Krentcil tried to deny the fact that she put her daughter in a tanning booth and said it was 85 degrees outside so she got sunburned. I don't think you get sunburned from 85 degrees unless you're out there all day.

And one more thing, does Krentcil really need a tan? I'm just saying..
